Clubs

Each month we will be featuring a club in the Rocky Mountain region to help give recognition and support to those who work hard to keep off-road riding and racing alive and well in our area. Each participating club will receive a permanent link as well as become part of our Club Archives.

If you would like to see your club featured and become a permanent part of our content, please fill out the Club Submission Form.. Remember, the more information you provide us, the better we will be able to highlight your organization. You are also welcome to submit pictures by a separate attachment (instructions on the form) for inclusion with your information.

For over 30 years the Colorado Motorcycle Trail Riders Association has been active maintenance of the Colorado motorcycle trails in the Pikes Peak and southern Colorado region. They work closely with the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to help maintain multi-use trails and keep these trails open. Also, through the State Trails Program they obtain grants that are used toward Colorado motorcycle trail maintenance. Currently, they are actively involved with mapping, signing and maintaining the Captain Jacks Trail System and are in the planning stages with the Forest Service in rebuilding the 717 Colorado motorcycle trails burned by the Hayman fire in 2004.

With their stated mission of protecting, developing, and maintaining, promoting responsible riding, and bringing riders together for work, fun and great riding, this is definitely a club to check out. They also have three trail maintenance work days a year (see pics below), support COHVCO, the Blue Ribbon Coalition, and the AMA--and ask you to support them too with your financial contributions.

Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month with a 6pm social hour & dinner and a meeting following at 7pm. The location is Guiseppe's Depot Restaurant in Colorado Springs ( just off the Bijou exit on I-25). The restaurant is providing them with a free meeting room, so they encourage everyone to come to eat and socialize to support the restaurant's good will.

This is a great club that knows how to work hard and play hard too. They deserve your support!
