VDR Enduro (January 11, 2009) After a weeklong delay due to frigid temperatures, Round 5 of the VDR Winter Hare Scrambles Series went off under accomodating weather concitions (for Colorado in January anyway). The VDR crew performed their usual magic on the open areas of the course, grooming it to a nice loamy base that allowed flowing berms to build up in the fast, sweeping corners, keeping race speeds high. They threw in a twist this month though, running the back MX sections in reverse, which made the jumps and whoops a bit hard to navigate at first, but it was nothing anyboyd couldn't adapt to within a lap or so.

Milliken Enduro (October 28, 2008) - As is current RMEC tradition, the race season calendar winds down and finishes at Two Rivers Raceway in Milliken. Beging the final event of the year, Milliken is a bit of a wild-card race--as well as being the final opportunity for riders to lock in their year end finish or earn eligibility, the events Front Range location and friendly "Hare Scrambles" type course and format always seem to attract a few spoilers who may not ride other events, but whose finish here has the potential to affect the outcomes of some of those year end standings. With the RMEC Champtionship already in hand, Ian Blythe and his Yamaha YZ144 didn't need a finish at the season finale, but Blythe is not the kind of guy who is going to sit back and cruise...Story
Spanish Peaks Enduro (September 21, 2008) The Frametwisters M/C returned to Trinidad on September 21st to host the third annual Spanish Peaks Enduro, resuming action after the long summer break for Round Seven of the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit's 2008 Championship series. After hosting two-day national ISDE Qualifiers the previous years, the promoting club opted to runa a conventional "restart" format for this year's even, keeping the schedule simple and eliminating the need for any timekeeping equipment. In addition to the main event, racers and their families were treated to Saturday night movies on the big screen courtesy of even sponsors Topar racing and local Trinidad Kawasaki and KTM dealer, Valcom Motorsports. The kids even had their own event, invading the modified grass track with their screaming 50's and mini-thumpers on Sunday afernoon, creating a sea of smiles and miles of bench racing tales. Story.
