Rampart Range Trail System

Conveniently located along the Front Range corridor, nearly mid-way between the urban entrapments of Denver and Colorado Springs, the Rampart Range Trail System is a popular destination for both motorcycle and ATV enthusiasts seeking mountain trails and riding without the hassle of heading into the high country.

Over 100 miles of trails weave their way through the pines, alongside and over the ridges and into the gullies of this low lying mountain range. With elevations ranging between 6,500 and 8’500 feet, this trail system is one of the first to open and last to close each season. While regularly maintained and improved by the Rampart Range Motorcycle Management Committee, the heavy use does take a toll on the trails. Whoops are a primary component of the trail composition, as is the threat of collisions during periods of heavy weekend use. Otherwise, the majority of the system is free of loose lock and could be rated as moderate in overall difficulty. It is an excellent place to learn singletrack skills or get away for a quick, easy ride when time is a factor.

The Rampart Range is a captive trail system, therefore no loops or trails are specifically recommended. Use a map to create your own adventures! Please note that the Rampart Range Road is open to licensed vehicles only.
